We’re all pretty unique here in Rhode Island. Of that we can all probably agree, right? However, as individual as we all are, we can probably all agree that we share some common viewpoints. Like, for example, Rhode Island is one of the – if not the – most beautiful places in the United States. We’ve all got those hills that we’ll eagerly die on; here are seven hills every Rhode Islander is willing to die on. What else would you add to the list?

  1. We have the best seafood in the world.

Facebook/Hemenway’s Restaurant (121 South Main Street, Providence, RI) Sure, outsiders can try to dispute the fact (though we think it is pretty darn indisputable) that Rhode Island has the world’s best seafood. All they – and we – have to do is visit one of the many seafood restaurants in Rhode Island, take a bite, and…simply divine.

  1. Give us a hot wiener over a hot dog.

Facebook/Olneyville New York System Hot dogs have their place, but hot wieners? Well, Rhode Island invented ‘em, so they have a special place in our hearts. Plus, they’re just that good.

  1. There’s only one kind of lemonade: frozen.

Facebook/Del’s Lemonade & Refreshments A glass of lemonade is delicious. But, a cup of frozen lemonade – and Del’s Frozen Lemonade, in particular – well, that’s oh-so-heavenly.

  1. Nothing compares to coffee milk.

Flickr/spablab Coffee milk is the official drink of Rhode Island and for good reason. It’s downright delicious. Why put milk in your coffee when you can add coffee syrup to your glass of milk? Mmm..mmm.

  1. Call it a bubbler.

Flickr/Jellaluna Some people may call it a drinking fountain; others a water foundation. Us? Well, it’s a bubbler, and a long cold drink from one just hits the spot.

  1. Shorts are meant to be worn all year around.

Flickr/Andy Vernon Everyone has their own style, but we can agree on one thing. Whether the temperatures are scorching or we’re shivering in the snow, we’ll slip on a pair of shorts. Shorts are all-weather wear here in Rhode Island.

  1. We’re all about family.
