Cabins in SoCal October 27, 2022 Sarah M. Are there many cabins available to rent in SoCal? Most people don’t immediately equate sunny Southern California with cabin getaways; and indeed, you’re definitely more apt to find an amazing beachfront cottage in SoCal than, say, a rustic log cabin. (Oh beach getaways, by the way, are AMAZING, especially this Craftsman carriage house in Santa Monica that’s literally a stone’s throw from the Pacific!) Back to cabins in SoCal, though – we have them, and they make for amazing getaways. In terms of coziness, you can’t beat a cabin with a hot tub, and we found several that boast these lux amenities. One of our favorites is in Big Bear Mountain. Escape into the natural beauty of the Big Bear mountains to this two-bedroom cabin that sleeps up to five guests. Enjoy all of the recreational activities nearby, and then soak in the hot tub after a long day skiing on the slopes. It’s absolute heaven! If you’re looking for something that combines coastal living with cozy cabin vibes, these floating cabins in SoCal are hard to beat. Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve is located in San Diego County, and it hosts some of the most incredible (and perhaps only!) floating cabins in Southern California. What really makes this destination a stand-out choice for your travels are the floating cabins located right on the lake that make for a perfect home base at Santee Lakes. It’s really upped the ante if you’re looking at where to stay on the water in Southern California. In addition to swoon-worthy views, the cabins are also pretty impressive on the inside. They are nice and cozy with traditional wood paneling and plenty of windows and light. You might never want to leave!
