One of the best scenic overlooks in Arizona offers vast, expansive mountain views with little to no effort required. All you have to do is park, walk up to the observation deck, and enjoy – no need to trudge your way up the towering peaks of the White Mountains!

Located just off State Route 261, Point of the Mountain Overlook in Springerville is an observation site that offers some of the most breathtaking vistas you’ll ever see. There is a spacious parking lot, making it the perfect place to pull over and stretch your legs.

A small trail leads up to a viewing platform that looks out over the vast and remote landscape. In all directions, towering mountains pierce the sky with their lofty peaks, ascending beyond the clouds and into the heavens above.

In addition to the observation deck, there is also a covered pavilion as well as several benches, providing ample opportunities for all visitors to enjoy the scenery in contemplative solitude.

There are over 400 volcanoes in the span of just 50 miles! If you look closely, you can see some of the cinder cones that make up the volcanic field.
