At a cumulative length of nearly 1,000 miles, the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System is the second longest off-highway vehicle trail in the world… and it’s right here in Southern West Virginia. Named for a famous feud that took place between two families, one from Southern West Virginia and one from Kentucky, the Hatfield-McCoy Trails are a bucket-list-worthy way to explore this portion of Almost Heaven. Prepare for an off-road adventure like no other when you climb into your off-road vehicle and head up any one of the 10 trails that comprise this massive trail system in rural West Virginia!
Before you hit the trail, though, there are a few things you should know.
