Flagstaff Sedona Pinetop-Lakeside Show Low Holbrook

Arizona has a bit of a reputation as a desert wasteland, but this is actually a very common misconception. Sure, there’s a lot of desert out here – we are the heart of the Sonoran Desert, after all – but there’s so much more to Arizona than just a dry heat (and the parts that are purely desert are still amazing, we promise). In fact, there are some places in the Copper State that turn into a total winter wonderland during the coldest months of the year. As long as you know where to go, you’re sure to find the perfect winter getaway right in your backyard. Did you know that sometimes Arizona can get some pretty intense winter storms? Check out this article to read about one of the craziest!   Are there many natural hot springs in Arizona?   There are, as a matter of fact! Arizona is a place where there’s some volcanic activity rumbling around beyond the surface, and there are a pleasant handful of different hot springs around here as a result. Some of the best ones include one at Lake Mead known as, well, the Arizona Hot Spring, and it’s all kinds of relaxing and amazing (honestly, getting there is just as much fun as being there). There’s Castle Hot Springs, which we’ve just covered in the story above, and El Dorado Hot Springs is another that’s not even too far from Phoenix. You can find several up near Safford, as well. Don’t get it wrong – Arizona can totally be the perfect destination for a relaxing winter getaway, as long as you know where to look.
