Not only is it the oldest bar in Genoa, but it’s also the oldest bar in all of Nevada!

The saloon itself was built in 1853 and started serving drinks to its customers well before Nevada was established as a state. Though its ownership has changed hands several times, the ambiance and its incredible breadth of memorabilia remain preserved.

Some of the more notable pieces of memorabilia include an original wanted poster for Abe Lincoln’s killer, the mirror behind the bar that came from Scotland in the 1840s, and the various electric lamps that are original to the bar.

It’s worth noting that instead of having regular food service, it encourages and welcomes guests to bring their own.

However, on limited weekends during the summer, guests have the opportunity to dig into the food from the Hungry Hearts food truck. Not only are the burgers delicious, but the team donates 10% of its proceeds to organizations helping children in need.
