Fairhope is located along the shoreline of Mobile Bay in Baldwin County, Alabama. This picturesque town is a must-visit year-round, but at Christmastime, it’s extra special.

Southern Living has also named Fairhope one of the “South’s Best Small Towns.” After just one visit, it’s easy to understand why.

Several events are scheduled to take place in downtown Fairhope each holiday season. Towards the end of November, Fairhope’s Lighting of the Trees will take place. This magical event brings the entire community together to kick off the holiday season. Local school bands and choirs are also scheduled to perform.

And every year, children and adults will gather downtown for the towns annual “Movie in the Street: On Fairhope Avenue.” Don’t forget to bring along a chair and cozy blanket. Refreshments will be available, and the event is free.

Every holiday season, Fairhope also hosts its annual Christmas Open House. Several of the shops in downtown Fairhope are closed on Sundays. However, on this particular Sunday, they’ll be open and ready to meet your Christmas shopping needs.

In early December Fairhope’s Magical Christmas Parade will take place. This is one of the city’s main Christmas events and you don’t want to miss it!

Another event to look forward to is the annual Santa Saturday. On these special days, children can visit Santa and have their picture taken with him.
