The first Midnight Madness generally doesn’t occur until after Christmas Day and will then run through February. However, exact dates vary from season to season.

Spend your evening zipping down the longest snow tubing hill in Missouri. Polar Plunge Tubing Hill, in fact, spans 1,000 glorious feet and boasts 16 lanes. Talk about an epic thrill!

Zip to the bottom of the hill, where you can warm up by the roaring bonfire, or grab a quick bite to eat and drink from the snack bar.

When you’re ready to fly down the hill again, step on the conveyor belt and let it take you straight to the top of the run.

snow tubing in Missouri December 17, 2021 Sarah What is a fun winter getaway in Missouri? Missouri has some amazing winter getaways to enjoy scenic views, amazing restaurants, and fun winter activities. Here are a few to get you started:

Big Cedar Lodge: Ridgedale, MO. Snow Creek: Weston, MO. Hidden Valley: Wildwood, MO. Chateau on the Lake: Branson, MO.

Looking for a break this winter? Head to the mountains! Nestled high atop the Missouri Ozarks, overlooking the beguiling Table Rock Lake, Big Cedar Lodge is a vision. With inviting accommodations, spectacular restaurants, two full-service marinas, five golf courses, an acclaimed spa, and abundant outdoor recreation, Big Cedar Lodge is a world-class resort in the magnificent Missouri wilds. What are some fun things to do during the winter in Missouri? We absolutely love bundling up and embarking on a hiking excursion during the cold winter months in Missouri. These seven winter hikes in Missouri are some of the best; each trek promises an idyllic backdrop for breathing in the fresh air, getting in tune with nature, and reflecting. Among those on the list, Mina Sauk Falls Trail, in Taum Mountain State Park, is perhaps our favorite. This hike comes in at just under three miles, making it accessible for most. However, be prepared for a challenging hike, especially during the winter when there’s snow and ice. Wear sturdy boots and bundle up for the hike that promises sensational views of a potentially frozen Mina Sauk Falls. Is there anything better than happening upon a frozen waterfall in the wilds of Missouri? We think not! Where can I go ice skating in Missouri? There are a number of places to go ice skating in Missouri. Here are a few indoor and outdoor skating rinks to check out this winter:

Independence Community Ice: Independence, MO. Jordan Valley Ice Park: Springfield, MO. Kirkwood Ice Rink: Kirkwood, MO. Steinberg Skating Rink: St. Louis, MO. Creve Coeur Ice Arena: Creve Coeur, MO. Crown Center Ice Terrace: Lee’s Summit, MO. Bode Ice Arena: St. Joseph, MO.

Winter promises plenty of fun, especially if you like spending time outdoors. Still, sometimes winter can feel as though it’s dragging on and on. Before the cabin fever hits, consider piling the whole family into the car – and heading out to one of these indoor ice rinks in Missouri – for a few hours of fun on the ice. Enjoy!
