Californians love to say that any landscape you enjoy can be found in California. And this is just another example of that! Ten Mile Dunes are coastal dunes located north of Fort Bragg in Mendocino County.
There are famous dunes in Southern California– the Imperial Dunes where visitors can ride dune buggies and go four-wheeling. These Northern California sand dunes are a more relaxed version of that experience.

You can also hike along the beach, collect sand dollars, and play in the sand.

Some of the dunes are around 130-feet tall and a mile wide. Visitors say you’ll feel like you’re on a beautiful alien planet while exploring these dunes.
