Every December, visitors from all over flock to Heber City to enjoy its holiday festivities. Throughout the entire month, there are activities that allow you to take a step back in time, slow down, and experience an old-fashioned Christmas.

The holiday festivities kick off with Heber City’s tree-lighting ceremony and old-fashioned Christmas event. Held the first weekend in December, you can enjoy the official lighting of the town Christmas tree, participate in some caroling, decorate cookies, and, of course, visit with the big man himself.

This is just the beginning of the activities hosted throughout the month. Leading up to Christmas, there are various performances and concerts in venues around town that will get you in the holiday spirit.

You can even take a ride on the North Pole Express.
Heber Valley Railroad/Facebook Each year, Heber Valley Railroad offers the North Pole Express, a holiday-themed train ride in Utah. You can hop aboard and go on an adventure, complete with hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and Santa. This is the only holiday-themed train ride in Utah and tickets sell out early.
Just a short drive outside of town is Jordanelle State Park. Here, you can take a ride on a horse-drawn wagon through thousands of twinkling Christmas lights.
