Best Christmas Towns in Indiana November 24, 2021 Tori Jane What are the best places to spend Christmas in Indiana? Indiana is a beautiful state all year long, but during Christmas time and the holiday season, it takes on a different kind of special magic. There’s just something wonderful about spending Christmas in Indiana – we definitely recommend it! Of course, our first suggestion would be none other than the legendary Santa Claus, Indiana, which is definitely the Christmas capital of the state! That town prides itself on going all-out every year, and it even gets busy for other holidays, too! In all, it’s the perfect holiday destination in Indiana. The town of Carmel is another winter hotspot, with carolers, amazing shops and eateries, and plentiful lights displays. Don’t leave the big cities out, either – both Indianapolis and Fort Wayne are hosts to numerous holiday traditions and events every year. Of course, you could also simply opt to travel and not settle for one place – you could always take trips to each of these epic lights displays! What is Indiana at Christmas like? We may be a little bit biased, but we think Christmas in Indiana is as magical as it gets. Plenty of towns and main streets become holiday wonderlands, covered in bright white snow and glittering with the glow of millions of lights. Folks are always pretty kind, here, but during the holidays they seem to get just a little kinder. Hearts are warm, and folks are always looking out for each other. No matter which part of Indiana you reside in, you’re sure to find plenty of events, festivities, and traditions that will create amazing memories for the entire family year after year. Your chances of enjoying a “white Christmas” are pretty good, too! Indiana receives anywhere from four to 60 inches of snowfall per year; the northern portions of the state are much snowier than the southernmost ones.
