The trails in this preserve are crushed stone carriage roads laid out by John D. Rockefeller and Jr. in the early 1900s. There are 45 miles of them in all. They’re great for walking, horseback riding, running, and carriage driving.

The 13 Bridges Loop Trail will take hikers on these carriage roads on a spectacular and beautiful loop. You’ll cross 13 bridges overall. In some places, they are right in a row.
