The park is small but stunning. Rugged sandstone cliffs extend into the cold blue waters of Lake Superior and the park includes 2,230 feet of shimmering shoreline.

The park’s 1.3-mile trail will take you to a waterfall that flows through the forest and over the sandstone cliffs. The water cascades more than 60 feet into a sandy cove.

The hike will also allow you to take in Houghton Point – it’s a landmark that was a destination for Native Americans and early European explorers and fur traders. It’s as remarkable today as it was centuries ago!
