If you would rather keep your feet on less slippery ground, make a visit to the San Antonio Botanical Garden and stroll through a tunnel of over 100,000 lights. Are there any Christmas trains in Texas? The short answer to this is yes! One of the most magical holiday experiences for kids of all ages is a ride on a Christmas train. Here in Texas, there are several to choose from and all will make you eager to climb aboard! Along the Cyprus Bayou River is the Jefferson Railway, an antique open-air locomotive that will take riders past countless Christmas lights and displays. Austin Steam Train’s North Pole Flyer is another option for a holiday journey, complete with a visit to see Santa. Dewberry Farm in Brookshire transforms into a winter wonderland in Texas every year for the Christmas season.
