Winter festivals in Florida are not difficult to come by, because the weather is still 10 times better than in other parts of the country. However, there is one winter festival in particular that it’s worth bundling up for, no matter what the temperatures in Florida drop down to. This winter festival is very different than the rest of the country too. Others will be playing in the snow but here in Florida we have white sand, and you’ll still find plenty of people wearing shorts. The Everglades Seafood Festival is back for yet another year, and you do not want to miss out on these festivities.

This event has been going on for over 50 years and to kick off another year in Florida, the Everglades Seafood Festival is a family-friendly event that is loaded with delicious seafood.

In Everglades City, about 40 miles southeast of Naples, there is a three-day festival that is bursting with fun and soul-satisfying food.

The Everglades Seafood Festival was founded in the 1970s and is absolutely free to attend. Picture platters of fresh gulf shrimp, crab legs, stone crab claws, and of course since its Florida,  fried gator.

Taking place early in February, this three-day festival offers a chance for visitors to enjoy live music while feasting on the freshest local seafood.

Truly, people will come from all over to enjoy the seafood here - it is pure perfection. But there are also craft booths, carnival rides, and so much more. In fact, guests can expect to find over 100 vendors!
