While we’re all for getting outside with our kids, sometimes it’s fun to mix things up with a visit to a good, old-fashioned museum. At The Adventure Science Center in Nashville, Tennessee, the great outdoors and STEM team up for enough fun, entertainment, and educational value to last a lifetime.

The Adventure Science Center is a state-of-the-art facility geared towards engaging young minds in a new fun way… although you will find that as an adult you’ll learn quite a bit yourself! With over 175 hands-on exhibits, you are sure to discover something amazing.

Each section is unique and we will highlight just a few of the exhibits for you while we save the rest for you to discover when you go.

Kristy B/ Tripadvisor The Space Chase is a brilliant approach to learning about the stars and planets. A trip to Cosmic Rays will have guests playing multiplayer games against other crew members in a spaceship. Watch the massive planets on display, or play with an inferred wall.

Learn all about the human body with this bright and colorful section of the museum. Kids can climb through the digestive tract, shoot germs away from harming the rest of the body, and even control a ball with their minds. What happens inside of the body has never seemed so colorfully inviting.

Step into infinity with this psychedelic exhibit.

Adventure Science Center/ Facebook The boundaries of reality get stretched and it becomes difficult to tell up from down. Fractiles of geometric shapes will dance and bounce all over this interactive space that really has to be experienced to truly believe. Even then, it seems very unreal.

Towering play areas not only give your littles a place to climb but teach all along the way.

Kristy B/ Tripadvisor Work your way up a tunnel that is shaped like a human spine, or interact with giant musical instruments. Levers, cracks, and many other hands-on elements change this play area to a whole new level of fun.

Get a close look at a bee colony without the risk of being stung.

Adventure Science Center/ Facebook You won’t even need a suit to walk right up to the bees and see through the glass to see hundreds of busy bees working together. Kids can enjoy an extremely difficult game of search and find while looking at the bees. There is a dot on the queen and the museum challenges guests to find her.

There are so many things to do at The Adventure Science Center in Tennessee. You can easily spend hours there and count down the time till you can go back. This might be a dream spot for kids but one visit and you will find that the adults end up having just as much fun as the kids.
