No evidence has been found to show dinosaurs roamed the Great Lake State. But that hasn’t stopped a university from creating an impressive dinosaur park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Your favorite dinosaur enthusiast (or dinophile) will love exploring this fun and educational park.
Dino Park is located on the Western Michigan University campus in southwest Michigan. You can feel like you’re in the Jurassic Park movie franchise when you visit this thrilling outdoor attraction.

You’ll find the park behind Lee Honors College and on the northeast side of Rood Hall. When you visit, it will feel like you’re stepping back in time to 252 million years ago.

At the park, you’ll see creatures from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods so you can see the evolution of dinosaurs over time. A stegosaurus, parasaurolophus, spinosaurus, triceratops, and a pair of utahraptors can be found on the grounds.

But what will really amaze you is the most recent addition to the park, a 17-foot-tall brontosaurus standing guard at the entrance to Rood Hall. Western Michigan has even gone so far as to plant ferns within the park that existed during the time that dinosaurs walked the earth.
