Koteewi Run Seasonal Slopes/Facebook From the top to the bottom, it’s 700 feet in length- long enough to thoroughly enjoy, but not too long as to be exhausting.
Using a special process, Koteewi Run creates its own snow.
Koteewi Run Seasonal Slopes/Facebook The creation process is quite simple and quite clean — lake water is drawn into a quarter-mile of underground pipe and distributed into “Snow Guns”, which blow tiny, mist-like droplets into the air; there, they are met by enormous fans that push the droplet higher up. They subsequently freeze and fall to the ground as man-made snow.
The overall goal, weather permitting, of course, is to have three or four feet of snow on the ground.
