Lookout Mountain Circumference Trail is a short-and-sweet loop that offers unparalleled city and nature views, and it’s one of the least-trafficked hikes in the park.
One of the least-trafficked trails within Phoenix Mountains Preserve, the Lookout Mountain Circumference Trail is something of a hidden gem - despite being located in Arizona’s largest - and capital - city.

This 2.2-mile loop is considered moderately difficult, with an elevation gain of just under 300 feet. It snakes around Lookout Mountain - hence the name of the trail - and offers unparalleled city and nature views.
