A place like Newman Castle may make you think of wizards and magic spells, and maybe remind you a little bit of Hogwarts. This enchanting castle is located in the small city of Bellville which has a population of just 4,100 people.

The castle was built in the countryside of Bellville in the late 1990s by Mike Newman. He had spent a lot of time traveling around Europe which inspired him to build a castle for himself.

Newman Castle is open to the public. Tours are available six days a week starting at 10:30 a.m. at the castle’s on-site bakery. Reservations are required ahead of time.
