Tucked away in the rolling hills of Wayne County, you’ll find this beautiful gem. It’s a winery housed in a restored, 19th-century barn.

The hand-crafted wines here are absolutely divine. They’re made with California grown vinifera-grapes and tastings are 50 cents each.

Outside, you’ll find sweeping views of an artesian-fed trout pond and plenty of seating. The winery is open seasonally, and you can visit their Facebook page for the full schedule!

During your visit, you might even spot a haflinger, or a donkey or two grazing in the nearby pastures.

BLUE BARN Winery/Facebook Fontanna (pictured) was imported from Austria and used as a brood mare by an Amish horse breeder for 18 years, before Blue Barn Winery rescued her. She really adds a lot of charm to this Ohio winery.

Fun fact: The water trough, like the pond, is also supplied with groundwater under artesian pressure – and it’s can never run dry.
