Dogs and beer are two of our most universally loved treasures here in Washington. And luckily, at least one of our taprooms has had the good sense to combine them. Ales and Tails is a taproom, an indoor dog park, and a doggy daycare service all in one—and it’s just as fun (and adorable) as you can imagine.

Ales and Tails is located in the charming little city of Woodinville, which is well known for both its wine and beer.

Jae P / Google You can visit even if you don’t have a dog yourself, but you’ll have to come without your small humans—this place is for those 21 and over only (except for the dogs, of course).

The interior is casual and welcoming, with a separate beer bar area and play area.

Blake Bishop / Google Ales and Tails does not serve food, but they do sometimes host events with food trucks.

The beer selection here is fantastic.

Ales and Tails / Facebook You’ll find plenty of local brews on the tap list, as well as some others from around the PNW—and sometimes, from around the world.

Simply place your order at the bar, enjoy your beer, and watch the fun.

Boris Galant / Google If you bring your four-legged friend with you, you’ll have to register them and pay a daily or a monthly fee. This is to help cover the cost of the play area as well as the staff who’s there to help take care of the pups.

While the taproom here is fantastic, the vast majority of the patrons come for the dogs.

Ales and Tails / Facebook If you have a pup with separation anxiety or a large amount of energy, this is the perfect place for you both to hang out.

In fact, you don’t even have to stick around for your dog to spend time here—that’s what the doggy daycare is for.

Ales and Tails / Facebook You can leave your dog here for $30 for a half day or $50 for a full day and know that they’ll be well taken care of. They can play the day away, nap, and even enjoy some grooming if you decide to request it.

Ales and Tails is heaven on Earth for both dog lovers and beer lovers.

Ales and Tails / Facebook Best of all, you won’t have to leave your precious pet behind when you decide to go out and meet your friends for a drink and some socializing.

Doesn’t this place look divine? You can see a complete list of rules and guidelines as well as directions on the company’s website.
