Patapsco Valley State Park covers a whopping 14,270-acres in central Maryland. Parts of it touch several counties, so there are endless places to explore. The many trails are great for exploring year-round, and change drastically throughout the seasons.

Today we’re focusing on the Avalon / Orange Grove area, which is home to Cascade Falls. During warmer months, you can dip your toes in the pool surrounding this enchanting waterfall. During wintertime, this natural wonder becomes a mesmerizing ice palace.
