There are so many amazing parks in Tennessee, from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park down to the small-town parks. With so much natural beauty it is easy to see why our parks do so well. With a great community that rallies around each other and cares for future generations, you will also see well-maintained places for everyone to enjoy. Just yet another perk of living in the volunteer state. There is one little city park in Church Hill, Tennessee, that may be a small park but has a lot to offer.

Sitting right up against the shores of the Holston River, A.S. Derrick Park is just waiting for a nice family outing.

Spend some time taking it all in from one of the wooden swings that are positioned facing the water.

Bring a picnic and take full advantage of the shelters, or roll out a blanket to make use of the lovely green space all around the park.

On nice hot days, there is a brightly colored splash pad to cool off on while having fun. The giant smiling spider is happy to spray anyone who will pass under his long legs, and cleverly designed trees all go with the design of this fun splash pad.
