The manor has had many roles over the years and even sat vacant for a time, but now it is a thriving spot for the West Michigan community.

The manor was built in 1909 as a community hospital, psychiatric ward, and tuberculosis ward. In the 1950s it became the Allegan Elks Lodge until 2010 when it was sold and sat vacant for years.

In 2017 a family purchased the property and has been restoring it ever since. The manor is an event space for weddings, receptions, and reunions.

The first floor was lovingly restored in 2019 and now has a warming kitchen, a lovely staircase, and floor-to-ceiling white pillars. The sitting room boasts a cozy fireplace, a baby grand piano, and ornate antique furniture.

In 2022 renovations were completed on the second floor to add an elevator in the manor. The main event is the glorious grand ballroom that hosts many extravagant parties beneath luminous vintage chandeliers.
