Most people have no idea that the iconic Dum-Dum lollipops are made right here in Ohio. Tucked away in northwest Ohio in the small town of Bryan, you’ll find the Spangler Candy Company. It’s a privately-owned candy store, museum, and factory you can tour via trolley on select days of the week. If you’re looking for a unique day trip in Ohio the whole family will love, the Spangler Candy Company is perfect for just that.

This family-owned company has been making delicious treats since 1906. You’ll find it at 400 N Portland St., Bryan, OH 43506.

On average, the factory produces 12 million Dum Dums per day. (That’s approximately 2.4 billion Dum Dums per year!)

During your visit, you could previously explore the factory’s candy pack-out and warehouse areas via the Trolley Tour. It was a really unique way to explore the company’s history and inner workings.

In addition to Dum Dums, Spangler also makes candy canes, chewy candies, hard candies, mints, and much more.
