If you’re in the mood for a short trek, you can hike along the 1.25-mile Canyon Trail which will take you through an old-growth forest and past several waterfalls. One of the falls, Muddy Creek Falls, happens to be the highest waterfall in Maryland, and at 53 feet, it’s absolutely stunning!

If you have time for a longer trek, you can choose the 5.5-mile trail that will bring you through Swallow Falls State Park and then onward to Herrington Manor State Park. Mountain biking is also a possibility along this trail.
