Camp Willow Run is a railroad-themed Christian summer camp and retreat in Littleton, North Carolina. Campers at this interdenominational camp sleep in renovated boxcars. And if that isn’t exciting enough, the camp sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Gaston, inviting the water into the recreational activities. The lake is a hydroelectric reservoir formed when the Virginia Electric Power Co. built Gaston Dam on the Roanoke River. In addition to the campers, Lake Gaston brings in hundreds of tourists every year and is a home or second home to many residents. How fun would it be to camp at such a gorgeous place?
Camp Willow Run summer program is available to rising seventh-12th-grade students. The younger ones can enjoy Camp Willow Springs for rising third-sixth-graders.
