One of the most notable parks in the nation is The Gathering Place in Tulsa. Nestled inside this amazing park is Fairyland Forest, a magical place for parents and their young children to explore and learn. You and your children will be whisked away to an imaginative world by the fanciful houses and surprises that dot this enchanted woodland. You can go on adventures, learn new things, and make lifelong memories. For a day of oh-so-special fun and exploration, grab your little ones, pack a picnic, and visit the Fairyland Forest.

When it comes to kids and play, there’s nothing quite like a fairyland playground to spark their imagination and creativity. Fairyland Forest is one of those places that is designed to transport kids to a world of wonder and imagination. It’s located inside Gathering Place in Tulsa and is part of the larger playground, Chapman’s Adventure.

The Fairyland Forest is a playground for the senses, with sights, sounds, and experiences that will delight and inspire your little ones. As they wander through the forest, they’ll come across friendly (imaginary) fairies and gnomes, sparkling streams and waterfalls, and a variety of interactive play areas that will keep your little ones entertained for hours.

Three playhouses and wooden boats are located in the middle of the lower-tiered sandbox in the sand play area. A transition platform is also available for those who are limited in their mobility.

This playground was designed for children ages 5-12, and it’s a great area for parents to relax too. There aren’t high structures like in the other playgrounds in the park, so you don’t have to worry about kids falling.

The tulip area is for smaller kids ages 2-5 and features open tulip buds kids can crawl inside and let their imaginations run wild.

Other structures include a wooden banana slide, wooden pears that could be anything in pretend play, and several others.

One of our favorites is the giant wooden bear that acts as if he is the protector of the land. You can play inside his belly and run in and out very easily. This playground is the perfect spot for a play date with friends, so head on over to a fairyland playground for a day of enchanted fun and adventure.

Another fun activity to do at the park is to rent a paddle boat and enjoy an afternoon on the water.
