Wyoming has a lot of Christmas cheer and charm to go around, as several towns host wonderful festivities all over the state. Casper is known for having the state’s best Christmas Parade. They hold the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at David Street Station and offer free cookies and hot cocoa. The tiny town of Dubois features the Dubois Delights, where locals take part in a light display competition and enjoy live music. Jackson really lights things up as the whole town becomes a festive light display and the National Elk Refuge provides magical sleigh rides through the snow. Are there many Christmas light displays in Wyoming? Oh yes! In fact, we’ve put together a Christmas Lights Road Trip where you can see some of the most brilliant light displays Wyoming has to offer. The Hemi Lighted Forest of Hope in Cheyenne is included, where they light trees for children who have had Hemispherectomy Brain Surgery. You’ll also pass through the Wyoming Territorial Prison Holiday Light Display in Laramie where the old prison is decked out with over 10,000 lights and a local radio station plays music specifically for this event.
