One such spot is Exit 14 Restaurant in the little town of Gypsum. This diner in Kansas is not too far from Salina, so outsiders stumble across it on occasion, but it’s definitely better-known by locals than it is by anyone just happening to pass by.

It’s a tiny restaurant that’s the quintessential small town diner. Gypsum’s population is barely over 400, and it’s not exactly a hotbed of tourism, but it’s definitely worth stopping by for a meal if you’re in the area.
