Rogersville is another fun place. It’s a nice small town that features all kinds of fun events and activities, so you’ll certainly have your pick of things to do! What is the oldest town in Tennessee? The oldest town in Tennessee is Jonesborough. With only about 5,000 people calling it home, it has the small-town feel that you’ve been looking for! It’s a fantastic place to learn about history, as the town has been around even longer than the state has been. You can find plenty of historical festivals and it’s a great way to teach the kids about the area. If you want even more history to explore, check out Ripley for the Alex Haley House. Where are the best winter hikes in Tennessee? The best winter hikes in Tennessee are Rainbow Falls Trail is 5.5 miles long and features some great challenging terrain. If you’re in great hiking shape, you will love this beautiful hike, where you will also get to see frozen waterfalls! The ice is fascinating to see, as it freezes in whatever shape the water falls in, including the splashes and spray. Radnor Lake Loop is another stunning choice in the cold months.
