- Pierpont’s at Union Station - 30 W Pershing Rd., Ste 900, Kansas City, Missouri
Pierpont’s at Union Station/Yelp
Pierpont’s at Union Station/Yelp In addition to a fantastic menu, they also have a crazy bar that’s full with all sorts of wines and spirits. On my list to order every visit is the lobster claw mac and their garlic smashed potatoes.
- Bristol Seafood Grill - 51 E 14th St., Kansas City, Missouri
Andrew S/Yelp

- Char Bar - 4050 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, Missouri
Jason A/Yelp
Maria J/Yelp If you’re a pickle type of person, Char Bar has some great ones. Otherwise, cheese grits and their brisket are my personal favorites in town. They’re always cooking up good food!

- Cosentino’s Downtown Market - 10 E 13th St., Kansas City, Missouri
Ivonne A/Yelp
Darrell L/Yelp Though it’s a deli/cafeteria, this spot made the list due to its amazing desserts and freshly prepared hot foods. It’s a fantastic spot for a quick lunch!
- Gram & Dun - 600 Ward Pkwy., Kansas City, Missouri
David S/Yelp
Michael A/Yelp The food here sometimes runs a little out of the ordinary, but the burnt ends mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve had! Their shrimp and grits are also quite popular with many guests.
- Jack Stack Barbecue (Freight House) - 101 W 22nd St., Kansas City, Missouri
Dan B/Yelp
Anthony N/Yelp To be fair, it was hard to pick just one of their locations, but you’ve got a great chance no matter which one you pick. Any Jack Stack Barbecue will leave you satisfied and full of our signature dish.
- Q39 - 1000 W 39th St., Kansas City, Missouri
John N/Yelp
Christopher D/Yelp More barbecue? Of course! We aren’t famous for it for nothing! Q39 does an excellent job of ensuring that every bite is as good as the last, and the meats are all prepared perfectly. There’s not much more to ask for!
