It doesn’t matter if you’re single or you’re retired, safety is of the utmost importance in order to enjoy where you live. Safewise has reported that there are ten cities in Florida that have ranked exceptionally high in terms of safety. Using FBI crime statistics as well as demographic information, Safewise has ranked these as the safest cities in Florida.

  1. Marco Island, FL

Flickr John Walker Safewise found that the city coming in as the safest is Marco Island. This is the second year in a row that Marco Island lands the top spot. Facebook City of Parkland Coming in second is the city in northern Broward County, Parkland. With a significant drop in property crime from last year, Parkland went from being #4 on the list to #2. Parkland, FL, USA

The property crime rate comes in at 14.0 per 1,000 residents, which is low compared to the state average of 37 per 1,000 residents. In addition, the violent crime rate is half of the state average.
