Brown County State Park was established in 1929 and is well-known for its amazing views and breathtaking, photogenic scenes that persist no matter which part of the park you’re exploring.

If you want to spend the night (or longer), there are several types of cabins available for reservation.
Brown County State Park They book up incredibly fast, so you’ll want to plan your visit well in advance. For example, pictured above is an example of the “Family Housekeeping” cabins, of which there are 20. They have two floors, two bedrooms, and a full kitchen; they sleep about eight people comfortably. They are open year-round and feature heating and air conditioning.
…and then you’ve got the Cabin Suites, of which there are 12.
Brown County State Park These spacious suites are furnished and come with a mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, and can comfortably sleep about six.
Another option: the seasonal Rustic Cabins, which each contain two to four rooms and were built in the 1930s.
Brown County State Park These are your most motel-like option, and are open seasonally from April 1 to Oct. 31.
It doesn’t really matter what time of year you decide to come check out Brown County State Park; it’s really just a matter of when!

It’s the perfect mixture of secluded and modern, far away enough from civilization to forget about life for a while but just close enough to the rest of the world for there to be plenty to do. We feel more relaxed already! If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box (or, should we say, out-of-the-silo?) kind of cabin, there’s a converted grain bin home in Indiana Amish Country that’s truly one-of-a-kind. It features a bedroom upstairs with two twin beds, all bathed in natural light. Your night’s sleep should be just about perfect when you’re tucked into the third bed: a luxurious king-size, soft, warm place of rest. (Yes – a king-sized bed in a grain silo!) You’ll access the upper level via a spiral staircase, which only adds to the appeal of this charming accommodation.
