Looking for weekend family getaways in Georgia that everyone can enjoy? It can sometimes be difficult to find things that will entertain children in different age ranges, but don’t worry – there are plenty of kid-friendly attractions in the Peach State for young kids and teens alike! We’ve gathered up a few of our favorites from all over the state, check them out:

  1. Cumberland Island

Karrie Banaghan/Flickr Cumberland Island is one of the strangest places in Georgia. This barrier island has lush forests, sandy beaches, ruins of an old mansion, and the Atlantic coast’s only herd of unmanaged feral horses. There are between 120-200 horses on the island, which can be reached by ferry from St Marys. Cumberland Island, Georgia, USA
