River Street is the iconic street that runs alongside the Savannah River. This downtown area is filled with amazing views, delicious food, and wonderful shops, like the tasty River Street Sweets.

While you’re downtown, you won’t want to miss a visit to the Plant Riverside District. This brand-new area is a repurposed power plant that’s now home to hotels, shops, and an event venue.

Another of the city’s most popular attractions is Forsyth Park. This 30-acre park is perfectly manicured and often hosts events and festivals.

In a city this old, there are plenty of spooky legends to delight ghost hunters. If you believe the stories, Savannah’s Bonaventure Cemetery is among the most haunted cemeteries in the country.
