This day trip takes us to El Paso to investigate a historic cemetery and a fascinating restaurant, and both are rumored to be haunted.
Concordia Cemetery is a historic cemetery in El Paso that was first used as early as 1856.
Mark Smith/Google The 52-acre cemetery holds roughly 60,000 graves and is broken up into different sections including an area for Buffalo Soldiers, Freemasons, Mormons, and even an unmarked grave area for infants that died during the 1918 influenza pandemic. It’s also the only place in Texas to have a Chinese cemetery, many of whom came to Texas to work on railroads.
As you wander through the cemetery, you might get the feeling that you’re being watched.

The cemetery is known for being the final resting place of some of Texas’ most infamous gunslingers, like John Wesley Hardin.

People often report the sounds of horseback riding and faint gunfire when no one is around.

It was determined that there were four spirits here and that the building itself was a bit of a portal for spirits to pass through. One spirit, Albert, tends to not cause much trouble and may just close a door or turn on a light. Thomas, on the other hand, was an angry spirit known to throw glasses and wasn’t very nice.
During the medium’s investigation, the space was cleansed of Thomas’ energy and since then, they haven’t had any bad energies come through.
