This Kid Friendly Hike In Connecticut Has Beautiful Views

One good way to get the little ones outside is to explore a kid-friendly trail in Connecticut. It’ll give them an appreciation for nature, provide time for bonding, and even give you both a little exercise. One great hike that’s suitable for kiddos is in the underrated Horse Guard State Park. This scenic state park near Avon has a 1.5-mile White Trail that’s not too difficult, making it perfect for kids and hikers of all experience levels.

At “only” 105 acres, Horse Guard State Park is one of the smaller state parks in Connecticut. Despite being purchased by the state in 1964, it remains largely undeveloped.
