Big city restaurants tend to get all the love. Don’t get us wrong: there’s plenty of phenomenal places to eat in Atlanta, Savannah, Macon, and all our other large cities. But you can also find some pretty amazing small town restaurants in Georgia. One of our favorites is Burke County’s Fish Eye Grill. This little spot is tucked away in the town of Girard, which boasts a population of under 200. But you’ll find wonderful service, a great small town atmosphere, and, of course, delicious food at this rustic spot!
Girard is part of the Augusta metropolitan area. At around 45 minutes away from the city, it still has a rural feel to it, and since the population is only around 200, it’s a quintessential small town in Georgia.
