Odessa may be small in size, but it’s packed with history. Not only is it quite possibly the most charming little Christmas town in Delaware, but it also may just be the best place in the state to experience an old-fashioned Christmas. With a population of 364, Odessa is a decidedly tiny town. It’s located in New Castle County and has over 80 buildings recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. One of these buildings is the Corbit-Sharp House, a historic house museum built in 1774 and managed by the Historic Odessa Foundation and the site of annual holiday displays.

Each year, the Historic Odessa Foundation celebrates the holiday season with exhibits, walking tours, and events. Take a candlelight walking tour through this little 18th-century hamlet and admire the Christmas lights strewn over historic architecture as you go.
