Magical Ohio Park February 13, 2023 Sarah M. What are some other magical places and parks in Ohio? Looking for more magical day trips in Ohio? Here are some beautiful and magical places in Ohio sure to make your heart swoon!
Cincinnati Nature Center. In Southwest Ohio, the Cincinnati Nature Center is a place where folks can rediscover the Great Outdoors, reconnect with Mother Nature, and experience awe and wonder at our big, beautiful world. Spanning over 1,000 acres, the CNC’s Rowe Woods is a paradise for Ohio nature lovers young and old, and this hidden gem is even home to one of the state’s only old-growth forests! Chapel Cave. Chapel Cave is also called 21 Horse Cave because it is rumored to be large enough to hold 21 horses. Fittingly, Chapel Cave is located just off a horseback trail in Rockbridge. The area around the cave is absolutely stunning. You will feel like you’re in a completely different universe, far away from the stress and chaos of everyday life. There’s something about being out in nature in Ohio that nothing else can compare to. Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Ohio’s one-and-only national park is a stunner. The park lies along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron, and it’s a wildly popular destination. Named an official National Park in 2000, Cuyahoga Valley is mainly known for its abundance of waterfalls, walking paths, and historic abandoned sites. It’s a true Ohio treasure everyone in the Buckeye State needs to visit at least once! Holden Arboretum. Is there anything more magical than traipsing in the treetops? For Ohio nature lovers, Holden Arboretum is a beautiful treasure that’s teeming with flora and fauna. As an arboretum, though, the flora take center stage here, with some 20,000 different plants in its 3,600 acres. While there are many ways to experience the splendor of this fertile forestland, nothing compares to the one-two punch of the Kalberer Emergent Tower and the Murch Canopy Walk. If you’re looking for an unforgettable day trip destination in Ohio, this is it.
