What better way to bring tourists to town than by creating a dinosaur park?
Roger LaMarche/Google City planners discussed ways to revitalize Main Street and the downtown area of Granger. They came up with the idea of a dinosaur theme, and in 1994 began the dinosaur project.
The very first dinosaur constructed was a baby Brontosaurus.

They experimented with various construction techniques and refined the process to come up with the realistic dinosaur sculptures you see in Hisey Park and downtown Granger.
Over thirty dinosaurs can be found in Granger, with more than two dozen in Hisey Park
