When the owners, Matt and Carol Jording, first began talking about opening a restaurant, Matt shared his idea of an open kitchen concept with his parents. His mother asked him if he meant like the Waffle House. He had not thought of it like that but agreed it was similar in nature.

It was just important to him that guests could see the chefs cooking and the art form of what it takes to get plates out, as well as showcasing the talent of the chefs. You’ll want to make a reservation if you’d like a place at the Chef’s Table, but if you sit at a regular table there are television screens with a live feed from kitchen cameras so that you can still watch!
